10th Annual IBA Anti-Corruption Conference

A Conference presented by the IBA Anti-Corruption Committee with the support of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD)

This well established conference will will be held at the OECD Headquarters in Paris and will take place at the same time as the meeting of the OECD Working Group on Bribery in International Business Transactions.  The Group comprises representatives from the 38 State Parties to the OECD Anti-bribery Convention, along with the Russian Federation.

Conference sessions include:

  • Bribes and cartels –  comparative approaches in anti-corruption and competition compliance programmes
  • Corruption in the Middle East and Africa
  • Asset recovery and repatriation – recent issues and trends
  • Discussion with law enforcement officials from member countries of the OECD Working Group on Bribery
  • Anti-corruption developments in G20 countries
  • The weakest link – due diligence in the supply chain
  • The privileged profession – risks faced by legal professionals advising in international transactions
  • Definition of a public official –  SOEs, royal families and transition administrations
  • International cooperation in multijurisdictional enforcement of bribery cases
  • Spectacular corruption – spotlight on bribery in the lead-up to major sporting events

The conference will also feature a keynote speech from OECD Secretary-General, Mr. Angel Gurría.
