International Practice Diploma Programme to be replaced with LL.M in International Legal Practice
The International Practice Diploma Programme is being phased out over the next two years, with the opportunity for participants who intend to complete the course to do so. The International Bar Association and the College of Law will continue to offer the LL.M in International Legal Practice.
Since the introduction of the International Bar Association’s LL.M in International Legal Practice, we have seen increased demand on each intake every 6 months and so continue to develop modules on this programme.
With the need for professional, practice focused international training, we believe the LL.M to be the future format for global lawyers accessing training. With one to one supervision, interactive tutorials, global law firm contributions and skills based scenario style case studies complete with individual feedback, the LL.M is unique in its approach.
For the majority of enquirers attracted to the IBA’s training offerings, the LL.M is the preferred option; it is an internationally recognised qualification which supplements a practitioner’s existing knowledge in professional practice.
For these reasons the decision has been taken to phase out the International Practice Diploma Programme over the next two years, enabling those participants who intend to complete the course to have the opportunity to do so.
Please note that the International Intellectual Property Module and the International Commercial Law Module of the Diploma are no longer available for study. The final intakes for these modules was July 2009.
