Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics at the Universal Periodic Review

The International Bar Association's Human Rights Institute (IBAHRI), in collaboration with ARC International and the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA), are hosting the launch of the report Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression, and Sex Characteristics at the Universal Periodic Review. The report is a comprehensive overview of the impact the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) – a peer-to-peer review mechanism of the human rights performance of all 193 states, at the UN Human Rights Council – has had on advancing the rights of LGBTI persons.

The Role of the Universal Periodic Review in advancing human rights in the administration of justice
