The Millennium and Sustainable Development Goals

This podcast assesses the successes and failings of the United Nation's Millennium Development Goals and the challenges of implementing their successors, the Sustainable Development Goals.

Will the SDGs offer a chance to build on the progress made by the MDGs, or could they be eclipsed by concerns over security?

Our contributors are: Nobel laureates Kofi Annan, former Secretary-General of the UN, and Muhammad Yunus, known as ‘banker to the poor’; Mark Malloch Brown, former Head of the UN Development Programme; and Mary Robinson, formerly UN High Commissioner for Human Rights.
