What might a Trump Presidency mean for human rights and the rule of law?

Following the election of US President Donald Trump, this podcast considers some of the major human rights and rule of law issues.

During his campaign, then President-Elect Trump stated his support for the use of torture as part of counter-terrorism operations and said he would reverse plans to close the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.

Expressing their concerns are: David Scheffer, US Ambassador at Large for War Crimes 1997-2001; Juan Mendez, United Nations Special Rapporteur on Torture; and Cori Crider, Director of the Abuses in Counter-Terrorism team at Reprieve 2009-2016.
