Law Society commemorates 60 years of human rights lawLaw Society commemorates 60 years of human rights law
A fundamental treaty for the development of human rights law which followed the Second World War has been commemorated by the Law Society of Scotland.

The former Attorney General for England and Wales, Lord Goldsmith, was invited by the Society to speak to 40 delegates at the event. This took place at the Merchants Hall, Hanover Street, Edinburgh on 12 December to mark the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration on Human Rights.
