IBA Charitable Trust
The IBA set up the IBA Charitable Trust (Registered No: 1112282), in 2005 and this now replaces the IBA Educational Trust as our main charitable vehicle in the UK. All donations made via subscriptions to the IBA are now made to the new charity.
The Charity will continue to strongly support educational projects (such as the IBA intern programme) but with its much wider objects, will be able to support human rights projects (e.g. through the IBA Human Rights Institute) and provide relief for lawyers experiencing hardship (for instance, those affected by the Tsunami).
