Complaints Procedures

From 2004-2006 a Working Group of the IBA Policy Committee undertook an extensive survey of complaints procedures amongst bar associations worldwide.  The Working Group's aim was to then to consult with bar associations and produce a document that would bring some of the key procedures together that bars and law societies followed when handling a complaint.   The final document, in the format of a set of Guidelines is aimed at being a resource, especially for developing bar associations, but also as a general guide for all bar and law societies.
