We want to foster your involvement with the IBA and the activities of the Closely Held and Growing Business Enterprises Committee.

Here are two concrete ways to become active in our Committee: 

• Become our Committee’s Country Reporter for your jurisdiction
• Contribute your jurisdiction’s chapter for the Legal Guide on Shareholders’ Agreements

Become a Country Reporter

We are inviting our members to become Country Reporters for our Committee’s newsletter.

Being so will entitle you to publish, as a Country Reporter, new developments in your jurisdiction. Please send us an e-mail if you are ready and willing to commit.

Please be aware that deadlines are critical so volunteer only if you are willing to make a responsible commitment. We have some jurisdictions already covered after our invitation to all members early this year, but we will do our best to accommodate any of our members who wish to become more active with our Committee’s activities.

Contribute your jurisdiction’s chapter to The IBA’s Legal Guide On Shareholders’ Agreements

Our Committee is putting together an online ‘legal guide’ covering a comparative analysis of the regulation of shareholders’ agreements. If you have significant practical experience with shareholders’ agreements in your jurisdiction, please step forward and e-mail our Publications Officer, Andrés Cerisola, at ACerisola@Ferrere.com.

This will be a quick reference source of practical information that international practitioners need for a first understanding of the basic rules in a foreign jurisdiction. We have already been approached by volunteers for some jurisdictions, but we want the guide to have the most comprehensive reach possible. We will also credit you and your firm’s participation in this Committee effort.
