This one-day conference in Washington, DC will examine the management of document production in transfer pricing audits and litigation, and tax planning relating to unwinding or modifying a transaction.
A special luncheon programme will feature the Honorable Eileen J O’Connor, Assistant Attorney General for the Tax Division of the United States Department of Justice. Since her 2001 appointment by President Bush and confirmation by the Senate, Ms O’Connor has headed the 500+ person DOJ division responsible for all civil and criminal trial and appellate federal tax litigation outside the Tax Court. Ms O’Connor will speak about the Justice Department’s results in litigation related to tax shelters. The luncheon programme will also feature Ted Setzer, Special Counsel to the Deputy Associate Chief Counsel (International) for Strategic International Programs. Mr Setzer will speak on US governmental and inter-governmental efforts to identify and address international tax shelter cases.
