A conference co-presented by the IBA Business Organisations Committee and the Business Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, and supported by the IBA Asia Pacific Regional Forum.

The conference will focus on the global impact of private equity over the last 24-36 months, with particular emphasis on:

  • The private equity phenomenon and the sub prime crisis
  • The view from the bench
  • Regional trends in private equity transactions and the implications of globalisation
  • Managing transitions in major corporate events
  • The regulation of hedge funds
  • A financing perspective on adverse marketing conditions on private equity deals

Who should attend?

Advisers to corporations (both public and private equity corporations, lawyers, merchant bankers, accountants and others) and also representatives of many of these organisations without significant legal teams advising on these matters, that need to be aware of some of the issues.
