The Prosecutor vs. Thomas Lubanga Dyilo: 22 June to 25 July 2007
Introduction
The issue of the appointment of defence counsel to replace Mr. Jean Flamme as Counsel on behalf of Mr. Lubanga was finally settled on 21 June 2007 when Ms. Catherine Mabille formally confirmed her acceptance as Counsel. By 12 July, Judge Adrian Fulford was appointed as presiding judge in the case in Trial Chamber I.
On 18 July 2007, the judges of Trial Chamber I set out preliminary proposals detailing a non-exhaustive list of matters requiring early consideration before the commencement of the trial and suggested dates for the filing of submissions on those issues and any hearings.
