Presentation of Defence Case

Admissibility and Weight of Prosecution Evidence

The Defence opened its case by attempting to define in more detail the broad evidential requirement to be satisfied under the Statute for the charges to be confirmed. The Statute requires the Prosecution to bring sufficient evidence before  the Chamber to establish ‘substantial grounds to believe’ that the person committed the crimes with which he is charged.
