Confirmation of the appointment of Ms. Catherine Mabille

On 21 June 2007, Ms. Catherine Mabille formally confirmed her appointment as Defence Counsel for Mr. Lubanga. The following day, Pre-Trial Chamber I was notified of the acceptance of this designation on behalf of the Registrar by Didier Daniel Preira, Head of the Victims and Counsel Unit.

On 6 July 2007, in keeping with the provisions of Article 22(3) of the Code of Professional Conduct and Ethics, Ms. Mabille signed an undertaking to respect the obligations under that article in accepting the appointment to provide legal assistance. The record of Ms. Mabille’s designation was conveyed that same day to Trial Chamber I.
