Defence Appeal Against the Confirmation of Charges Decision Pursuant to

Article 82(1)(d)

                  
In the previous court diary it was noted that a Prosecution filing of 13 February 2007 referred to an application by the Defence for leave to appeal relying upon Article 82(1)(d), as an alternative to its notification of appeal pursuant to Article 82(1)(b).  The Defence originally filed this application confidentially. The Chamber requested that the Defence provide a public redacted version of its application on 7 February 2007. However, as the Defence Counsel was unavailable and the Office of Public Counsel for the Defence considered it beyond its power to make the necessary redactions on behalf of the Defence, the time limit was extended to 22 February 2007.
