: Order setting out schedule for submissions and hearings regarding the subjects that require early determination – 5 September 2007 (ICC-01/04-01/06-942)
On 5 September 2007 the Trial Chamber set out the following timetable for the filing of submissions and for hearings on the issues which require early determination in the case Prosecutor vs. Thomas Lubanga Dyilo.
- Hearing on 1 October 2007 at 10.00 a.m. on the following issues:
- The date of the trial;
- The languages to be used in the proceedings;
- The timing and the manner of disclosure of the evidence the Prosecution seek
to rely on to the other party, any participants, and to the Chamber, and all
other disclosure;
- Use of the e-Court protocol.
Written submissions on these issues are to be filed by 24 September 2007.
- Hearing on 30, 31 October and 1, 2 November 2007 at 10.00 a.m. on the following issues:
- The role of victims and the manner in which victims may participate in the proceedings leading up to the commencement of the trial;
- The procedures to be adopted for instructing expert witnesses;
- The approach to be adopted to witness familiarisation and proofing.
Written submissions on these issues are to be filed by 19 October 2007.
Hearing on 20 November 2007 at 10.00 a.m. on the following issues:
- The status before the Trial Chamber of the evidence heard by the Pre-Trial Chamber;
- The status of the decisions of the Pre-Trial Chamber in trial proceedings.
- The manner in which evidence shall be submitted subject to Article 64(8)(b) and Rule 140.
Written submissions are to be filed by 16 November 2007.
The Trial Chamber requested the OTP to file its submissions on all of the issues as soon as possible and no later than Wednesday 12 September 2007. With regard to the issue set out at paragraph 3(E), the deadline of 19 October shall also apply to the OTP.
