ICC Confirmation Hearing - Week 3: Thomas Lubanga Dyilo

Introduction

The following report is an overview of some of the main issues raised during the final two days of the confirmation hearing. In the absence of public court transcripts at the time of writing, this report is based on unofficial notes taken during the hearing.

On the first day of the hearing, the Prosecution addressed the evidence on which the Defence relied during the confirmation hearing. On the final day of the hearing the Prosecution, victims’ representatives and the Defence presented their closing arguments.
