Rule of Law Directory
The HRI has developed the first centralised, fully searchable, online database of entities engaged in rule of law work throughout the world which provides an invaluable tool to those establishing and implementing rule of law programmes. It allows organisations to provide a brief description of rule of law work carried out, to define assistance provided by category and to include contact details, including an active link to their website. The Directory has been funded by United States Institute for Peace (USIP). To date, over 1,000 organisations have registered. Visit the Directory at www.roldirectory.org.

LegalBrief Africa
LegalBrief Africa is an innovative IBA electronic news diary that delivers a succinct weekly wrap-up of important, useful African legal news to lawyers across Africa and the world. It is premised on the fact that African lawyers need quicker access to more, better information and lawyers around the world need to know what's going on in Africa. It comprises between 20 and 30 legal news items in three broad categories: African legal news, legal analysis and academic research, and legal developments in the rest of the world that are of importance to Africa. Articles are from leading African and international publications. In time the publication will also include the text of key speeches and essays on the rule of law and human rights of leading figures in Africa - including lawyers, statesmen and women, civil rights leaders, and independent commentators and journalists. LegalBrief Africa is funded by the IBA Educational Trust and the Open Society Initiative Southern Africa (OSISA).
