Work by regions

The HRI undertakes projects to advance human rights and the rule of law across the globe.

Such projects include: human rights training for lawyers and judges; fact-finding missions to countries where there has been a significant deterioration in the rule of law; long-term technical assistance programmes to Bar Associations and Law Societies worldwide; the sending of trial observers to encourage compliance with fair trial standards and monitor and report upon legal proceedings; and targeted media and advocacy campaigns to lobby for change.
