Individual Tax and Private Client

                                                                                                                    Christopher Potter
Dear New Member or future New Member,

The individual tax and private client committee of the IBA is the committee for all practitioners who advise individuals in respect of international or cross-border situations. As we all know, these situations are traditionally complex and increasingly common – our annual specialist conference, held early in March in London, and the annual general IBA conference, provide an opportunity for specialists from all over the world to meet and discuss their experience in this field. Membership to this committee therefore provides the dual advantage of allowing you to meet practitioners in other countries, and learning about the manner in which the laws of the jurisdiction or jurisdictions in which you specialize interact or conflict with those of the jurisdictions with which your clients may come into contact. Over the years at the IBA I personally have formed many friendships and learnt much which has been of great use to me in my professional activity.

If you have any questions please do get in touch with me or one of the other officers of the committee – we are always happy to have new members join in our activities, to contribute their experience and ideas.
We look forward to seeing you in London or at the next annual conference.

Yours sincerely,

Christopher Potter
Chair
I
