Eligible Fund Committee ♦
In 2007 the IBA’s Management Board took the decision to place, on an annual basis, part of any year-end surplus which may arise into an “Eligible Fund”.
The Management Board has established a committee to assess any requests made for deployment of these monies.
Emerging Technologies Subcommittee ♦
This is a subcommittee of the Technology Law Committee. This decade has seen the emergence of industry transforming technologies in the life science, advanced materials, internet and energy sectors.
Employment and Industrial Relations Law Committee ♦
The aims of the committee are to develop and exchange knowledge of employment and industrial relations law and practice. Members support each other through the provision of innovative ideas and practical assistance on day to day issues. This is a committee of the Human Resources Section.
Enforcement of Creditors Rights Subcommittee ♦
This is a subcommittee of the Insolvency, Restructuring and Creditors’ Rights Committee (SIRC). The subcommittee focuses on issues of interest to secured and unsecured vendors and lenders in liquidation and reorganisations, including, inter alia, remedies, lien enforcement, extension of credit to insolvent or distressed debtors, inter-creditor priorities and protection of the value of collateral.
Environment, Health and Safety Law Committee ♦
The objective of the committee is to promote the knowledge and awareness in all areas of environmental, health and safety law and related issues, as well as the interrelationships between them. This is a committee of the Section on Energy, Environment, Natural Resources and Infrastructure Law (SEERIL).
Includes all countries which lie in the geographical region of Europe, including Russia.
European Regional Forum ♦
"The European Forum (EF) was established in 1989 to provide a focus for the work carried out by the IBA, with lawyers in Eastern and Central Europe developing their practice under changing legal systems, and also to act as a channel for IBA communication with the bar associations of these local lawyers."
