Between 2014-2016, the International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute (IBAHRI) (together with its partner organisations) worked with 1,800 of Tunisian judges and prosecutors to raise their awareness of the applicability of international human rights standards to domestic proceedings and the role of a judge in a democratic society.
Between 2018 and 2021, the IBAHRI is partnering with the International Legal Assistance Consortium (ILAC) and the OHCHR to improve the protection and enforcement of economic, social and cultural (ESC) rights in Tunisia. The IBAHRI will organise a series of trainings for Tunisian judges, lawyers, and human rights activists on the enforcement of ESC rights in Tunisia.
