Followed by a reception hosted by the IBAHRI

Following a fact-finding mission to Hungary in March 2012, the IBAHRI made a series of recommendations to the Hungarian government, urging reform to reinforce judicial independence and the democratic checks and balances found to be weakened under the new legal order.

At this event, the IBAHRI delegation will discuss conclusions from a follow-up mission which took place in June of this year and present further recommendations addressing judicial independence, democratic principles and human rights.
