Interview with Fu Hualing

Professor Fu Hualing, a top academic from the University of Hong Kong's Faculty of Law, speaks to Rebecca Lowe about the struggle for constitutional reform, human rights and freedom of expression in China.

Professor Fu kindly agreed to step in for human rights lawyer Mo Shaoping, who was prevented from leaving China by state officials.

Mr Shaoping believes the officials were trying to prevent him from attending the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in Norway on behalf of his client Liu Xiabo, who won the 2010 award for his peaceful struggle for fundamental human rights in China.
