From BRICs to MINT and beyond - M&A involving BRICs and MINT countries

In recent years BRICS and MINT countries have had an active role in the M&A transactions, accounting for the most important portion of M&A market in emerging economies. This session will analyse trends in those markets (inbound and outbound M&A), the different laws and regulations affecting M&A transactions. These include restrictions to foreigners, foreign exchange controls, antitrust regimes, and other relevant regulations. In addition to a discussion of relevant legal and regulatory matters, this panel will address cultural and practical issues frequently encountered by practitioners in this area.
