Main challenges operating energy projects: what a board member of a power company should know
There is little doubt that the energy industry is facing some unprecedented challenges, including managing companies in an environment of volatile prices; leveraging innovative technology to improve production and lower costs; deciding whether to switch to renewables considering society´s demands for cleaners source of energies etc. All of such challenges have become major issues that boards must face, including compliance and transparency; protecting intellectual rights; dealing with communities; cyber-crime, etc. This panel will address the main trends and challenges that the boards of energy companies, and their legal advisor, are subject to under the current environment.
