Satyajit Gupta

Satyajit is a senior lawyer with the Corporate/ M&A practice group at Advaita Legal. He has over 15 years of experience, after graduating from the prestigious National Law School of India University, Bangalore and is dual-qualified to practice laws of India and England & Wales (n.p.). He has previously worked with various top-tier law firms in India (Amarchand, AZB) and abroad (Herbert Smith Freehills). Satyajit has been recognized as the ‘M&A Lawyer of the Year 2017’ by the Indian National Bar Association and the Finance Monthly.

Satyajit advises on Indian corporate law issues, including in relation to restructuring/ insolvency situations. He has represented several major international investors as well as Indian corporates, on issues facing Indian and foreign companies in relation to Indian company law and the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code 2016. He has handled related pre-litigation/ litigation assignments as well including before the Company Law Board (now, NCLT) and the High Courts.
