HOW TO FIND A MENTOR THAT HELPS YOU GROW YOUR BUSINESS & ATTRACT NEW CLIENTS: 5 clear rules that let you find the real and the right one

One of the issues that strike a chord with many law firm owners and partners is that they are caught up with the day-to-day running of the firm and their practice leaving little time to work on growing up the business.

Many partners are failing to build a system that will generate more referrals and growth to their business since they remain locked into time for money.

It is here where a mentor can help enable the law firm partner or senior to see a different way of actually achieving their business goals quicker and more effectively.

How is distance mentoring working out for you?

Not being able to meet in person is often felt as a barrier by participants but using other forms of communications (in particular Skype) can be very effective in mentoring. Do you feel that you are managing the distance and are communnicating well with your mentor/mentee?

I am delighted to welcome you on the IBA mentoring forum and would like to encourage you to actively take part.

It's a place where you can share your experience as mentor or mentee, ask questions, discuss your challenges and get new ideas.

So please introduce yourself and share anything that may be of interest to other participants!

 IBA Mentoring Masterclass in Boston

The 2013 Mentoring Masterclass in Boston saw a great number of participants join for a day of insightful presentations and great discussion. Prof. Heidi K. Gardner of the Harvard Business School, Organizational Behavior, gave an excellent presentation, which we wish to share with you.

The next IBA mentoring events will take place in Brussels in May 2014 and will be run in partnership with the Bars Issues Commission (BIC) and then in Tokyo at the Annual Conference next October.
