Spotlight on Brazil: economic, business and legal issues

2016 proved a pivotal year for Brazil, with the country hosting the Summer Olympics, while also receiving a significant downgrade by the International Monetary Fund.

This podcast analyses the fundamental economic issues facing the country and the current investment climate. It also looks at the continuing fallout from Operation Car Wash, the investigation into corruption at state-owned oil giant Petrobras, which has implicated company executives and politicians.

Assessing the market challenges are: Former Goldman Sachs economist Jim O'Neill; Control Risks senior managing director Geert Aalbers; and Carlos Primo Braga, a former director at the World Bank.
