Lawyer Title(s)

1) Advocate: Higher Grade Pleaders after three years of practice may apply to the Myanmar Bar Council to become an Advocate.
2) Higher Grade Pleader: A Higher Grade Pleader is entitled to practise in all Civil and Criminal Courts subordinate to the High Courts.

Regulator(s) of Admission

Practising certificates are issued by Myanmar Bar Council. The administration of practising certificates is carried out by the administration office of the Supreme Court based in Nay Pyi Taw.

The Myanmar Bar Council is the regulatory body.
The Supreme Court of Myanmar produces and maintain the Court Manual.
