Legal Services Board (Oversight regulator set up by the Legal Services Act 2007 - responsible for approving independence and functioning of regulatory arrangements in accordance with Legal Services Act 2007 and approving rule changes proposed); Legal Ombudsman (LeO) - responsible for complaints about service (not conduct which is the responsibility of the regulators); Legal Services Consumer Panel - a body set up under the Legal Services Act 2007 to advise the LSB on the interests of the users of legal services; the Law Society of England and Wales (statutory body for regulation of solicitors but with a purely titular role as regulatory tasks must be delegated to its independent regulatory arm (SRA)); Bar Council of England and Wales (statutory body for regulation of barristers which has now delegated all of its regulatory tasks to its independent regulatory arm (BSB))
