We are extremely pleased to announce the next World Women Lawyers’ Conference. For this, the ninth interaction of this successful conference, the IBA Women Lawyers’ Committee members will be physically together again after a number of successful webinars and launch of WLC Virtual Café and WLC LinkedIn Group. The conference with the theme "Women in Leadership" is an exciting and unique opportunity to expand your personal and professional networks while discussing essential issues of general interest and in relation to female empowerment in the company of leading speakers from a vast variety of industries and jurisdictions, experts in different fields, and participants from all over the world accompanied by a social program that includes a canal cruise in the heart of beautiful Copenhagen, a casual dinner by the sea at restaurant Salt, and a cocktail reception and formal dinner at Langelinie Pavillonen, as well as a lunch at the Royal Danish Playhouse. The conference will serve the purpose of empowering women lawyers through the opportunity to engage, network, share knowledge, and develop business opportunities. Please note that we welcome and encourage the participation of all genders.

- Launch of IBA Women Lawyers’ Committee Mentoring Toolkit: what works, what doesn’t and why they are a must for breaking the glass ceiling
- Inside a hostile takeover: how far can defensive strategies go?
- What’s new in arbitration and litigation? Insight into changed practices
- ESG/sustainability in practice: will sustainable finance/investments do the job?
- Roundtable discussions on data protection, press freedom, private equity, project finance, investments in infrastructure, how women can enjoy business social clubs, fintech, investment protection, cloud services, life sciences and the gender gap in sports
The conference will also feature:
- Two keynote addresses
- A fireside chat on what is needed for female attorneys to get an equity partnership/seat at the leadership table
- A social program that includes a lunch at the Royal Danish Playhouse, a canal cruise, casual dinner by the sea and cocktail reception as well as a formal dinner
