A webinar presented by the IBA Banking Law Committee

The Russian invasion of Ukraine has abruptly given way to a reshuffled geopolitical order that has affected global economies - themselves already challenged by the Covid pandemic - inflation and the transition to carbon neutrality. The significant financial sanctions adopted against Russia and the country’s own countermeasures, combined with the steep disruption of energy and food markets, have distorted trade, financial markets and investments.

Nine months after the outbreak of the war in Ukraine, this webinar will consider its impact on financial contracts, focusing on the industries of lending, asset management and risks hedging. It will gather the first lessons learnt so far and assess trends for the immediate future, looking at these subjects from a global perspective.
