The 2017 Investing in Africa Conference will provide delegates with an unparalleled opportunity to learn about the rapidly changing economic, regulatory, and legal landscape surrounding investments in the growing markets of sub-Saharan Africa. Panels will focus on the latest developments in the mining, oil and gas, power, and banking sectors and provide insights on what investors, governments and lawyers may expect from these sectors in the next five years. The Conference will include a panel of institutional and private investors speaking to the opportunities and challenges of investing in the region.
The IBA’s Investing in Africa Conference brings together highly qualified panelists from government, academia, investment fi rms, and in-house legal departments for a discussion that will cut across Francophone, Lusophone and Anglophone Africa. The IBA and the North American Forum are excited to expand upon the past success of the Conference in New York (2015) and London (2016), and are confi dent that next year’s event will confirm the Conference’s place as an essential forum for discussing investment in such a pivotal region.
