Laurence Glynn
Biography
Laurence Glynn is an Associate Director in the EBRD’s Office of the Chief Compliance Officer, where he is part of the team responsible for policy and ethics matters. His role includes identifying and managing institutional conflicts of interest, preventing misuse of inside information and advising on corporate governance issues relating to Nominee Directors. Prior to joining the EBRD, Laurence was a Compliance Director at Citi where he advised on a wide range of compliance issues, with a particular focus on managing conflicts. He previously worked as in-house legal counsel at Citi advising on legal and reputational risks relating to its investment banking activities. Prior to joining Citi, Laurence was in-house counsel at Jefferies International advising on capital markets transactions, which he joined after several years in private practice at Ashurst LLP, an international law firm. He is a qualified UK solicitor (College of Law, London) and holds an MA in corporate governance (Queen Mary University, London) and BA Hons (English) from Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge.
