Christine Blaise-Engel
Biography
Christine Blaise-Engel was admitted to the bar in 1995 and has more than 20 years of experience as a Corporate / M&A lawyer. She has worked with Arthur Andersen (Andersen Legal) for 8 years before joining Fidal in 2002. Today, she is a Partner and Head of the M&A practice in Fidal’s Paris office. Christine has considerable experience in M&A and managing projects: sales and acquisitions for French and foreign industrial groups and investment funds: pre-contractual documentation, sale and purchase due diligence review, negotiation and drafting of SPAs, shareholders' agreements, legal structuring of acquisitions , issuance of combination securities, and other means of hybrid financing, preferential shares, partnership transactions (JV, etc.). She regularly advises both domestic and foreign clients on cross border transactions and M&A projects (buy and sell side). She is also experienced in managing and executing legal due diligence projects whether cross-border or domestic, and SPA support. Christine is a Membership Officer, IBA European Regional Forum since 2017 and will take office as the Regional Forum’s Vice President in January 2019. Christine has participated to previous IBA start-up conferences either as a speaker or as a coordinator. She has been involved in several start-up projects throughout her career and is working closely with the Medef, France’s leading network of entrepreneurs.
