Biography

Renato Giallombardo has developed broad experience in corporate finance transactions and recently he has created a new specialized team dedicated to venture capital named “GOP4 Venture”, which is targeted at venture capitals funds, accelerators, incubators, start-up, research spin-offs and small-medium innovative companies. He set up and managed the opening of the Bologna Office in 2002 and later the firm’s Abu Dhabi Office in 2010. He regularly advises multinational corporations investing in Italy as well as domestic companies in their international transactions with the Gulf states (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait). Renato offers a wealth of experience in domestic and cross-border private equity and corporate finance transactions and he is known for being 'a loyal and amiable person who distinguishes himself by his proximity to the client and experience.' (Chambers Europe 2017) He joined the firm in 1992 and became partner in 2001. Renato is Co-Head of Private Equity, Head of Venture Capital and Middle East Coordinator of our firm. He is a member the CNR spinoff research Commission, of the Osservatorio sulla giurisdizione del Consiglio Nazionale Forense, of the Grandi Studi Legali della Cassa Forense Commission and also a member of the Rome Bar project Studi Legali Associati. He is a member of the Italian Bar. He speaks Italian, English and French.
