This interactive session deals with the global trends on gender diversity on corporate boards and how as part of the overall corporate governance work corporates are building capacity, raising awareness and expanding the discussion about gender diversity on boards. Amongst other things, discussions are on the impact of legislations requiring a set quota of female representation in certain jurisdictions and the approach of addressing the disproportionality on corporate boards through the adoption of ‘comply or explain’ governance system by Governments and stock exchanges.
