Tax (TVA)

Taxe sur la valeur ajoutée (TVA) is the French term for VAT/GST. All prices shown including social events are gross (inclusive of TVA)

  • Payments made by delegates outside of France is subject to TVA
  • Payments made by delegates domiciled in France and TVA registered who submit their TVA number during the registration process will have TVA deducted from their delegate fee automatically. If the TVA number is not submitted during the registration process, TVA will be charged.

The fastest method of registering for the conference is by paying online by credit card or Debit Card. We accept the following cards.

Bank transfer (BACS payments)

If you are unable to pay online by credit card or debit card you can pay by bank transfer (BACS payments) by following the steps outlined below.

Once payment has been allocated, you will recieve an email confirming your booking and all documentation and logistical details will be available in your account page (My IBA) on the website.

Conference registration terms & conditions

  • All conference delegates must provide full and accurate information regarding their identity and contact information. Failure to do so will result in their conference registration being cancelled
  • Registration transfers are not possible
  • Should you have difficulties in obtaining your visa and are not able to attend the conference, this cancellation policy will still apply
  • The organisers may at any time, with or without giving notice, in their absolute discretion and without giving any reason, cancel or postpone the conference, change its venue or any of the other published particulars or withdraw any invitation to attend. In any case, neither the organisers nor any of their officers, employees, agents, members, or representatives shall be liable for any loss, liability, damage, or expense suffered or incurred by any person, nor will they return any money paid to them in connection with the conference.

Early conference registration deadline

All registrations must be received by close of business on Friday 21 July in order to be processed.
Registrations by Bank transfer (BACS payments) must have the registration form and proof of payment returned by this date.

  • Conference cancellations (including any social functions and guest fees) received in writing by Friday 13 October will be a subject to 25 per cent cancellation charge
  • Cancellations received after close of business on Friday 13 October will be non-refundable
  • Refunds will be made via the method of payment used
  • Credit card refunds are instant and should appear on your statement shortly after the cancellation is processed
  • Refunds via bank transfer are made manually and will take longer to process and it will be subject to any applicable bank charges
  • Refunds will be made minus any monies owed to the IBA

Social event terms & conditions

  • Social event places will not be allocated or confirmed until full payment is received by the IBA
  • Social event transfers are not possible
  • The IBA does not add a margin, mark-up prices or make a profit from IBA Social events. Dining in a large group will cost more than dining individually because of additional costs such as venue hire, transport, decoration, etc.
  • IBA social events are not suitable for those under the age of 18

Social event bookings

All social event bookings must be finalised by close of business on Friday 13 October. After this date, new social event bookings will only be possible upon arrival at the conference, subject to availability.

  • Social event cancellations received in writing by Friday 13 October will be a subject to 25 per cent cancellation charge
  • Social event cancellations received in writing after Friday 13 October until the end of business on Friday 27 October will be subject to a 50 per cent cancellation charge
  • Social event cancellations received after close of business on Friday 27 October will be non-refundable.
  • Refunds will only be made via the payment method they were originally sent, if a payment is refunded via bank transfer it will also be subject to any applicable bank charges. Refunds will be made minus any monies owed to the IBA.

Accommodation terms & conditions

If you have made an accommodation booking, either through our accommodation agent Judy Lane ICS or booked independently, you are responsible for cancelling this separately. The IBA takes no responsibility for any financial penalties you may incur.

No deductions or withholdings

All fees payable to us by you in accordance with the terms and conditions shall be paid free and clear of all deductions or withholdings whatsoever.

If any deductions or withholdings are required by law to be made from any fees payable to us by you under the terms and conditions you shall pay such sum as will, after the deduction or withholding has been made, leave us with the same amount as we would have been entitled to receive in the absence of any such requirement to make a deduction or withholding.

If we obtain the benefit of any tax credit or other relief by reference to any such deductions or withholdings, then we shall repay to you such amount as, after such repayment has been made, will leave us in no worse position than we would have been had no such deductions or withholdings been required.

Group/agent/third-party bookings

The IBA is unable to process group registrations or registrations supplied through an agency. Registration, payment, and all conference correspondence must be made directly with the registered delegate and not via a third party. Should we receive a conference registration and/or payment from a third party, the registration will not be processed, and the funds will be returned automatically to the bank they originated from, with any applicable charges deducted.
