DESCRIPTION:During the last two decades Latin America has experienced a s
 ignificant growth in the development of public infrastructure. Some coun
 tries have recently approved ambitious infrastructure programmes and leg
 al frameworks\, or have modernised such frameworks to foster further inv
 estment. Nevertheless\, the infrastructure deficit is still enormous in 
 many of the region’s countries and the challenges appear to remain the s
 ame. This presents an extraordinary challenge for both the public and pr
 ivate sectors. What needs to be done to provide more successful infrastr
 ucture programmes? How can investors be more effective\, in developing i
 nfrastructure projects on time? How can new regulatory regimes help over
 come challenges These are some of the questions this panel aims to discu
