DESCRIPTION:Merger control raises a number of substantive and procedural 
 issues that impact the M&amp\;A process. This workshop is aimed at corpo
 rate lawyers\, as well as competition lawyers. Following the 'life' of a
 n M&amp\;A transaction\, it aims to identify the issues that can signifi
 cantly impact transactions: What is a sound approach to dealing with the
  complexities of multijurisdictional merger control? How can the parties
  effectively achieve clearances in a number of jurisdictions without bei
 ng accused of 'gaming the system'? How can they effectively address comp
 etition issues in a number of jurisdictions without jeopardising the cor
 e value of the transaction? The session will be interactive\, led by a p
 anel of experienced practitioners from different jurisdictions to exchan
 ge experiences of what should work and how to avoid the pitfalls facing 
 international mergers.
