DESCRIPTION:Robots or algorithms are now responsible for more decisions a
 nd activity impacting on humans than ever before\, from driverless vehic
 les\, farm machinery and factory robots to financial products\, lending 
 decisions and securities trading. This session will focus on how commerc
 ial parties (over and above smaller consumers) seek redress for losses r
 esulting from artificial intelligence (AI) errors. It is a much more com
 plicated and expensive process in proving traditional negligence or fail
 ure\, and can involve wrongdoing by parties far removed from the end pro
 duct\, often parties in foreign jurisdictions and possibly state-supplie
 d data or infrastructure. Will we have to review our approach to redress
  and liability laws generally to cope with the AI revolution?
