DESCRIPTION:In an interactive panel session scholars\, judges and legal p
 ractitioners will discuss current issues regarding the extraterritorial 
 reach of domestic avoidance provisions. The session\nwill present a hand
 ful of hypotheticals derived from ‘real life’ cases in order to enable a
  discussion on the treatment of ‘inbound’\, and ‘outbound’ cases of avoi
 dance actions in the United States\, Asia and Europe. The results of the
  discussion will be put into\nperspective with the United Nations Commis
 sion on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) Model Code and the UNCITRAL r
 ecommendations contained in recommendations 87 to 99 of the UNCITRAL Leg
 islative Guide on Insolvency Law.
