DESCRIPTION:This interactive panel will explore recent trends in foreign 
 direct investment (FDI) in Asia Pacific\, with a focus on the implicatio
 ns for privately held companies. FDI has been growing in the Asia Pacifi
 c region in recent years\, with increasing attention in the media and fr
 om politicians as a result. Particular sensitivities have developed arou
 nd certain types of assets and purchasers and various jurisdictions have
  adopted safeguards to address these issues. This session aims to consid
 er trends in FDI regulation\, including practical measures to address th
 ese issues\, ultimately to address the deal uncertainty that can result 
 from these regulations.
