DESCRIPTION:2020 is almost here and the long-awaited sulphur emissions ca
 p is about to become a reality. However\, substantial questions remain\n
 as to whether fuel suppliers and vessel owners are ready for the calenda
 r to turn: will there be sufficient quantities of 0.5 per cent fuel to a
 dequately supply the industry? Will it be affordable? Are there any work
 able/economically feasible alternatives? How will port states enforce th
 e emissions limit and what penalties are likely to be imposed for non-co
 mpliance? How will the responsibilities and liabilities for non-complian
 ce be allocated between owners and charterers? This session will explore
  these questions and more.
