SUMMARY:New approaches and solutions to dealing with corruption in invest
 ment arbitration
DESCRIPTION:The investment arbitral community traditionally has addressed
  allegations of corruption as matters of jurisdiction or admissibility o
 f claims. This panel will consider old and new approaches followed by in
 ternational arbitral tribunals and courts in dealing with allegations of
  corruption impacting investment claims.  It will also discuss whether p
 ublic officials should be the subject of criminal investigation and pote
 ntial criminal liability with respect to alleged corrupt conduct. Furthe
 rmore\, the panel will discuss whether States and/or arbitral tribunals 
 may take new actions to help curb corruption in international investment
 s and also whether international bodies may have a role in implementing 
 new solutions.
