DESCRIPTION:SustainabilityFocusAs energy storage technologies grow at a v
 ery fast pace\, new legal\, institutional and enforcement challenges are
  faced. Participants in the energy storage space involve developers\, ge
 nerators\, network operators and consumers (ranging from large energy us
 ers through to domestic consumers) among others. This session will explo
 re some of the main legal challenges in energy storage including: (a) in
 centive programmes\, (b) development of an energy storage regulatory reg
 ime\, (c) grid connection\, (d) procurement and construction (“EPC”) con
 tracts\, operations and maintenance (“O&amp\;M”) agreements and asset ma
 nagement agreements\, (e) land rights and (f) electricity supply and off
 take arrangements.\n\nSUSTAINABILITY FOCUS sessions marked as such are p
 art of the IBA Annual Conference 2022 sustainability focus on Tuesday an
 d Thursday\, grouping sessions discussing different aspects of ESG and s
 ustainability across the different legal fields.\n
