SUMMARY:Pre-pack and pre-arranged bankruptcies: are they a real option?
DESCRIPTION:Pre-packs are a popular restructuring tool with a growing num
 ber of jurisdictions having introduced pre-packaged insolvency proceedin
 gs during the last years. However\, its practical use as a restructuring
  tool and effectiveness differs from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. The p
 urpose of this panel is to provide\, from a practical standpoint\, a glo
 bal view of pre-packs and analyse the opportunities\, challenges and ris
 ks of conducting pre-packs from the perspective of debtors\, shareholder
 s and creditors. During this session we will also discuss how pre-packs 
 and other restructuring tools available to market operators (eg\, restru
 cturing plans) currently co-exist and how pre-packs in corporate restruc
 turings are expected to develop in the future.\n
