 businesses operate.\n\nAs global businesses navigate complex regulatory 
 environments\, shifting investor expectations and increasing societal de
 mands\, the ‘G’ in ESG stands as the cornerstone of sustainable corporat
 e success.\n\nThis keynote address will delve into the critical governan
 ce issues that boards must address to steer their organisations effectiv
 ely. The session will explore how robust governance frameworks ensure co
 mpliance\, mitigate risks\, and enhance corporate resilience and long-te
 rm value creation.\n\nPeju Adebajo serves as Non-Executive Director at I
 bstock plc\, a FTSE 250 manufacturing company\, and Wolseley Limited\, a
  UK PE owned distribution company\, Peju serves on key committees includ
 ing Sustainability\, Audit\, Remuneration\, and Nominations. Her passion
  for sustainability and energy transition has led to establish the Niger
 ian chapter of the Climate Governance Initiative\, (affiliated with the 
 World Economic Forum). Her career spans diverse executive roles\, includ
 ing CEO of Lumos Global\, a solar power company\, Managing Director at L
 afarge Africa and Mouka Limited (owned by Actis LLP)\, underpinned by fo
 rmative roles at Boston Consulting Group and Citibank. Peju has experien
 ce in navigating complex operating environments Wednesday 4 Decemberand 
 working with different ownership and governance structures including lis
 ted entities\, private equity\, multinationals\, venture capital\, famil
 y business and the public sector driving her perspectives on corporate g
 overnance and sustainability. She was recently recognized as a finalist 
 for the ‘NED to Watch’ category in the UK NED awards and listed in Cranf
 ield University’s ‘100 Women to Watch’\, and has won numerous awards inc
 luding Harvard Business School Leadership award and CNBC Africa Business
  Woman of the year.\n
