How do we manage fellow partners in a partnership? Have the traditional aspects of a partnership all but disappeared, with managing partner relationships now the job of the ‘owner’ using remuneration as the principal tool? More traditional models do prevail and the managing partner’s soft skills come to the fore through effective communication, leveraging relationships and encouraging teamwork. Above all, a good leader needs to understand the strengths and weaknesses of the partners. This session will also examine how to manage partner relationships when things go wrong, either financially or through under-performance.
